Who are we ?


Since 1997, NIMROD Composites has been studying and manufacturing parts and subassemblies in composite materials for the aeronautical, automotive, naval and defense industries.


With our experience in composite materials and under the requirements of ISO 9001 standards,

EN 9100, we create tailor-made parts, recognized for their lightness and resistance.

Thanks to the experience of our design office, we have the capacity to offer an optimized technical analysis and design of your parts. We take care of all stages of your project, from design to manufacturing a prototype as well as mass production.

TECHNOLOGIES COMPOSITES


NIMROD Composites continues to evolve to offer our partners the latest technologies in the manufacturing of composite elements.


We use composites based on continuous fibers (carbon, glass, aramid, etc.) as well as organic matrices (epoxy, bismaleimide, phenolic, etc.). We master several manufacturing technologies: - Wet draping, - Autoclave polymerization, - Infusion, - Low pressure injection (RTM), - 3D interlock braiding,


We are equipped with 2 ovens and a 450°/10 bar autoclave,

with a capacity Ø 2000 * L 4000 as well as an ISO07 clean room.

BRAIDING PROCESS


NIMROD Composites has a 2D and 3D Interlock technical fiber braiding machine unique in Europe. This process makes it possible to produce multilayer technical preforms with wire interweaving. This process guarantees excellent toughness as well as excellent reproducibility of the structure with much superior fatigue characteristics compared to conventional composites.

Depending on the mechanical characteristics that we wish to obtain, different fibers can be used. We mainly use carbon, aramid, glass and basalt fibers, but also thermoplastic filaments and plant fibers. The braider is capable of making passages with a maximum diameter of 500 mm and a preform thickness of up to 7 mm, over an almost infinite length.

MACHINING AND ASSEMBLY


NIMROD Composites designs and manufactures all the tools necessary for the manufacture of composite parts. We are committed to ensuring the traceability and operational maintenance of the tools we manufacture, while providing detailed documentation of the manufacturing steps.

- Modeling (creation of part model, in resin or aluminum),

- CNC milling of resin or aluminum molds aluminum,

- Manufacturing of composite molds “outside” or “in” autoclave,

- Machining by milling of carbon, glass or aramid composite parts,

- Adjustment, assembly and assembly of composite and mechanical parts,
